These terms apply to purchases from this website, operated by OBDshield Pro (ABN 16 708 709 980), trading as OBD Shield PRO ("we", "us"). By placing an order you agree to them.

1. Orders

An order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send your dispatch confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order — and refund you in full — if the item is unavailable, priced in error, or we suspect fraud.

2. Prices & payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we don't store your card details. Promotional pricing applies only while displayed.

3. Delivery

See our Shipping page. Delivery estimates are indicative, not guaranteed. Risk passes to you on delivery.

5. Correct use & installation

OBD Shield PRO is a passive anti-theft device fitted to your vehicle's OBD-II port. You are responsible for installing it in accordance with the supplied guide, and for ensuring you are permitted to modify the vehicle (for example, if it is leased, financed or a fleet vehicle). If in doubt, have it fitted by a qualified auto-electrician.

6. What the product does and doesn't do

OBD Shield PRO is designed to prevent unauthorised access to your vehicle's ECU through the OBD-II port. It is one layer of security. It does not prevent all vehicle theft — it cannot stop forced entry, towing, theft of a vehicle left unlocked or with keys accessible, or attacks that do not use the OBD-II port. No security product can guarantee a vehicle will not be stolen.

7. Fitment

The product is designed for OBD-II compliant vehicles (US-spec 1996 onward; Australian and European vehicles generally 2006 onward). If it doesn't suit your vehicle, our 30-day money-back guarantee applies.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the product is limited to (at our option) replacing the product or refunding the price you paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, images, logos and design — belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published when you place your order.
